I'm a bit of a business plan junkie and have a long history of working with technology and entrepreneural ventures.
While getting my MBA at New York University I won first prize in a business plan competition and with a suitably swelled head, Jennifer and I started our first venture -- selling gourmet decaffenated coffee to the over-55 market. (The coffee world has transformed since then!) We had mixed success, but I was hooked.
Most of my career has been with technology ventures within Hewlett Packard Company. I started my consulting practice in 2001 with many of the best practices I learned that that great company. My heart is still with entrepreneurs and I volunteer with several of the local entrepreneur groups as well as the Business Plan Competition sponsored by the University of Washington. (Great program!)
